Pelvic floor physiotherapy in Ponsonby that gives you your freedom back

Help for incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain and prostate recovery, for women and men. Treatable, often without surgery, with Clinical Pilates and PelviPower on site.

Pelvic health shouldn't dictate your life.

We see the impact pelvic health problems have every day. You might find yourself mapping out the toilets before leaving the house, avoiding exercise because of leaks, or dealing with pain that affects your intimate life.

Whether you are recovering from prostate surgery, managing postpartum changes (including ACC-covered birth injuries), or going through menopause, you don't have to just put up with it. We help you get your body working with you, not against you.

What to expect

A clear, structured path forward

Your recovery starts with a comprehensive one-hour assessment. We look at your overall alignment to rule out symptoms referred from elsewhere, and use real-time ultrasound (and an internal exam, only ever with your consent) to see exactly how your muscles are working, check for scar tissue, and find the areas driving your symptoms. You leave with a clear treatment plan, a take-home guide, and, if it is helpful, a five-minute trial on the PelviPower chair to feel how it works.

1

Assess

A thorough one-hour assessment, including real-time ultrasound, to understand exactly what is going on.

2

Plan

A clear, tailored treatment plan and a take-home guide, so you always know the next step.

3

Recover

Hands-on physio, Clinical Pilates and PelviPower as needed, progressing as you get stronger.

FAQs

Common questions

Do I need a referral?+
No. You can book directly. If you need a referral on to a doctor, we can arrange one.
Do you treat men?+
Yes. Men come to us for prostate recovery, bladder control and pelvic pain; women for incontinence, prolapse, endometriosis, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
Is it covered by ACC?+
Usually not, because pelvic floor problems are not injuries. The main exception is maternal birth injuries, which ACC has covered since 1 October 2022, and we lodge that claim for you. Give us a call and we will tell you what is funded.
What happens at the first visit?+
A comprehensive 1-hour assessment: we check your skeletal alignment, use real-time ultrasound, and (only with your consent) an internal exam to see exactly how your muscles activate. You leave with a clear plan and a take-home guide.

Your clinicians

Physiotherapists who specialise in pelvic health

You'll be seen by a named, registered pelvic floor physiotherapist who knows your case, not a different stranger each visit. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, no referral needed to start, and we lodge ACC claims for maternal birth injuries.
